WSH Carafe: (Gelding)
Born: May 17th 2011
Registered W-p-b (can be over stamped)
Sire : Treliver Decanter
Dam: Marchell Bold Lady
Carafe ( known as Eric) is sired by the wonderful British Warmblood Champion stallion, Treliver Decanter and out of our homebred mare, Marchell Bold Lady.
He has an excellent temperament to date and was a quick learner from birth which hopefully bodes well for his future development.
His sire, Treliver Decanter is a registered palomino and was British Warmblood Society Champion Sport Horse Stallion for 2003.He is well known for his excellent temperament and his expressive movement.
His sire is the well know Hanoverian stallion Dimaggio who is descended from no less than 9 Grand Prix stallions including, Dimaggio's sire Don Primero, Dimaggio's grandsire, Donnerhall the most successful dressage stallion in the World to date, Dimaggio's dam sire and the stallions Davignon, Donnerschlag, Weltmeyer and Welcome. Since beginning his competitive career in 2008 Decanter has competed regularly at BD Nationals and Regional competitions. He currently competes at Advanced Medium. Decanter’s dam is descended from the well know Hanoverian jumping sire Grande.
Carafe’s dam is a home bred Welsh part bred and although unbacked (due to a field injury) she competed in hand as a youngster and was never out of the first two also winning at the National Welsh show. She has an amazing temperament which like Decanter, she has passed on to her offspring.
WSH Carafe has been gelded whilst still on his dam and was weaned in December.
