Welsh Sport Horses - Part Breds & Welsh Cobs
Pentaran & Marchell Studs joined to form Welsh Sport Horses (WSH) through a joint appreciation of Welsh Part Breds and Performance Welsh Cobs. The existing friendship between Anne and Jane and a common goal was a guiding force and WSH was formed.
Our original statement which holds firm today:
“We are passionate about the Welsh breeds and in particular the cobs and the welsh
part breds. We both feel that they are capable of so much more than the in-hand showing
scene although this a good educational platform. We both have our own individual
prefixes and both breed both sections. Upon amalgamation of the studs the aim was
to raise the profile of these talented animals and try to emphasis the versatility
of the breed... thus Welsh Sport Horses International was born.”
It has been a slow
but steady road but WSH has now thankfully become a name in its own right and we
are more than delighted by the praise and recognition that our hard work has accomplished.
Our breeding policy is simple......aim for quality with type,temperament and of course
a capability to do a job of work, at any level ".
