April - 2006

Ian Stark OBE - Flatwork and Cross Country Clinic  - A good day was had by all we hope - if  the numbers that have re-booked for the September course are any indication then this is certainly true ! We were blessed with glorious weather and excellent facilities, thanks to the Roberts' from the  Porth Y Post Riding Centre. A relaxed but informative method of instruction from Ian Stark catered for all levels and everyone ended the day with a smile on their face.

( This course is now full - a tribute to Ian's success last time he came to Anglesey a few years ago. BUT KEEP YOUR EYES ON THIS SITE - another Ian Stark Course will take place on Anglesey on Sunday September 17th 2006 . You can provisionally book now on 01248 450 637. Charges and conditions the same as this April Course.)

Welsh Festival Of The Horse

The Welsh Festival Of The Horse , held at the Northop College on April 22nd was a very successful event and it was a good day to meet new and also the more familiar faces!

It was pleasing to hear that the Welsh Sport Horse was a popular and sought after type for both competition and hobby riders alike.

Many thanks to the organisers for a good day and also 10/10 for whoever ordered the excellent  weather !

February 2006   * Many thanks to all who contributed to a very successful evening.

STRICTLY DRESSAGE

Freestyle dressage evening with a difference. 5 demo horses of different types working from prelim to Prix St Georges, cobs to warmblood to arabs, so a variety of types. Musical accompaniment by Annette Bryn Parri who is a professional musician who is going to come along and devise the best type of music for each individual type of horse's, paces, tempo, rhythm etc., so it should give people who are interested in it a fair idea of what suits. Musical repertoire is vast from classical to pop.
