.... Marchell Bold Lady
is the only part bred prefixed here at Marchell to date. Out of Sec D mare -
Llanidan Buddug , she is
50/50 welsh x TB, sired by Mr Waddilove,
, a race winning TB stallion that stood at stud on Anglesey for a number of
years at the Hendy Stud.
A mare with a lovely
temperament, she was originally destined for a ridden career. As a youngster she
was only lightly shown due to a family illness but was always in the top
two. Her last show saw her winning at the first National Welsh Part Bred Show.
Whilst in the process of being backed, Bold Lady suffered a serious accidental
injury and we nearly lost her. Thankfully she came through and it was decided to
cover her with our TB stallion - Street Music
She proved to be a great
mother to her first offspring -
Marchell Legato who was sold in utero. M Bold Lady is once again in foal for
2007 to Street Music.
